I would say that Horatio and Marisol was a good couple.But the only thing that Horatio was way more older that Marisol and she only has supposely 28 years when she died from a bullet.I would only say that the relationship would have been more longer and much better.Marisol was the best woman for Horatio.Cause Horatio and the state attorney Rebecca Nevins that relationship didn't las long.But Horatio and Marisol was long and they did got married.

Okay lets try this again and hit the post comment and not add comment again..
I believe that Horatio and Marisol had a non sexual relationship. I believe that he loved Marisol, and that he wanted her to be happy, but with a 21 year age gap, I just don't see Horatio Caine pulling a Gil Grissom; you know sleeping with someone young enough to be his daughter. Horatio wanted Marisol to be happy, and have all her dreams come true with someone she could trust to not hurt her. That's who Horatio is, someone who would sacrifice his ownself to make another happy.

Personally I think that, although Horatio did love Marisol alot, he still loves Yelina and tries to get other relationships to cope without her.

I've seen more intensity and emotion between casual acquaintances than was shown with Horatio & Marisol. Her doe-like expressions often drove me to the remote. Oh, yeah, and that's just what Horatio needs - another sappy, needy victim. I suppose I'm in the minority in saying I'm not sorry Marisol has passed on. Apparently Calleigh is the only female allowed to be smart, strong and still sensual.

Yes, love may not be permanent for Horatio but it is lasting. And at least he opened doors for the many ill people who only want to be loved and enjoyed, no matter how long they may live. It truly depresses a person when they tell their secrets of illness, only to be left alone because of egotistical stupidity and fear. Horatio's devotion and desires verify the truth - love knows no boundaries. Makes one wonder what the new season will bring?

Ok there was a quiet a number of years between them but hey, what's age got to do with it, if you really love someone like Horatio did then why not..... I was really annoyed at the fact that Marisol was killed off. They really suited each other, it's just a shame that the relationship couldn't of blossomed a litlle bit more with Horatio and Marisol finally getting their wish.

I don't think it's in the books for Horatio to have a mate. Although he is capable of love, and mostly protecting others, he will suffer over and over again because the people he contain, arrest, or whatever the case may be, will always come after him and what better method than killing the ones he most loves and cares for. He's due a love affair with much emotion and affection displayed. Just one episode.

I know that many people were not crazy about the relationship between Horatio and Marisol. But Horatio is such an emotional man that I think he really did fall in love with Marisol-mainly her strength and determination. You absolutely can't fault the love they had-it's both innocent and dedicated. What does age have to do with anything anyway? I hate that it ended as sudden and tragic as it did, but it wouldn't be a Horatio relationship if it didn't, now would it? Here's to Horatio's next relationship!!

ya this relationship was a little scary because of the fact that horatio is like in his 50's and marisol is only in her late 20's/early 30's.... i know horatio is a really likable guy and i could see how marisol would like him (he was allways there for her) but its still a little weird...

I think that Horatio and Marisol was very good couple. And Marisol was nice woman, but very young for Horatio. Horatio can be her granddad. :-D

well...i think Horatio is a bit too serious..like...in episodes...he never does anything that's affectionate...i didn't know that until Eric mentioned to H that "my boss is seeing my sister" i was like "WHOA"

First off, I liked Marisol. There was nothing wrong with Marisol and Horatio. I honestly think that that really loved one another. I don't see a chemistry between Yelina and Him. I really don't.

I thought in the episode when they got married they turned to go up the court house steps then marisol got shot an fell into horatio arms an died??? Did this happened because I just watch a different episode where she got shot with her brother than later died in his arms???
