I Miss You Horatio Heart Break
Horatio is still grieving over the lost of Marisol. Calleigh and Eric plans a surprise birthday party. He is stunned and in disbelief at the surprise he receives from Eric and Calleigh.
Part 1
Horatio stood on the edge of the beach, It was a beautiful beginning to a sun set. He released all the moments of the day as he took a deep breath and watched the waves roll into the shore. It's been almost nine months since Marisol was killed and he knew that the pain was no less then unusual it still tore a whole in his heart. He allowed his mind to go back to the last moment he held her and told her he loved her.
It brought a tear's to his eyes as he relieved the loss. He was alone on the beach and the grieving process was hard. It never occurred to him that he would ever get over loosing her. He held on tighter to her memory.
Eric was concerned that he was not allowing him self to let go. Horatio was good at hiding his feelings from the team and his friends. There was only one who knew how deep his pain ran and that one person always allowed him to stay close to his memories of Marisol.
Horatio started down the beach towards his Hummer. The sun gave a reddish and orange blaze across the sky. It was always Marisol favorite to see the sky on fire and in such vivid explosion of amazement.
He got in the hummer, started out of the beach sand, he was on his way home to an empty house.
Calleigh called Horatio she needed to know if he wanted to come over her house for dinner. Calleigh her self was going through a lot also. She said good-bye to Jake and she never knew how hard that was until the last good-bye.
"Lt. Caine here!"
"Horatio I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight? I really would like to have your company?" Calleigh said waiting for his answer.
Horatio paused between the invite and Calleigh silence.
" I was on my way home Calleigh, It's nice of you to ask." Horatio said contemplating her invite.
"I would really love to have you Horatio! I am making your favorite!" Calleigh said with excitement in her voice.
"Since you put that way, I will be there soon. Is there anything you need me to bring?" Horatio asked.
"No, just your self!" Calleigh said with a smile on her face.
Horatio went home first to shower and change his clothes. He pulled up into the drive way of his home and waiting for him was Darlene. Darlene was a woman who fell in love with Horatio about 4 months after Marisol died. Horatio could not bring him self to hurt her so he broke it off with her. He was not ready to date or even think about a serious relationship.
Horatio step out of his Hummer, approached his door where Darlene walked up to him. She was in tear's Horatio looked up at her after he removed his sun glasses.
"Darlene why are you here?" Horatio asked with a look of concern.
Darlene wiped her tears with the handkerchief she had in her hand, shefell onto Horatio shoulder and said.

I Miss You (Horatio Heart Break) Part 2
Darlene looked up at Horatio and said as she turned from him. " What do I do about you Caine! I thought we were going in the right direction. I let my guard down and trusted my feelings and I was the one who fell in love with you. You know I would have done what ever it took to help you through the process of missing your wife."
Horatio walked up behind Darlene and for one last time he turned her around to him and said. "I don't want you to do that. I respect you to much to allow you to walk through my heart ache. I understand that you have feelings for me and I am truly sorry I can not return the feelings, but we can't be together. Give it time you will find someone else." Horatio said to Darlene looking at her in her perfect Grey eyes.
Darlene Leaned forward kissed him and said "Good-bye Horatio!" She walked away towards her car. Horatio stood there until she pulled off. He went inside his house took off his weapon and went to take a shower and change his clothes to go to Calleigh. It was about 7:00 p.m.
He heard the phone ring in the house! He ignored it and got dress. It properly was Kyle checking on him for the 50th time.
He grabbed his weapon and keys and started out of the door. As he was driving to Calleigh he realized that he wanted to bring her some flower's. She loved tulips and he knew she would appreciate her favorite color pink. He motioned for the flower shop attendant to come to him, He asked him to bring him two dozens of pink tulips.
He placed them on the front seat of the hummer. He started to drive to Calleigh house. he finally reached her house and pulled into her drive way. He noticed there were alot of cars on her block and wonder who was having a party.
He grabbed the flower's and walked to Calleigh door. Rang the door bell Calleigh open the front door, she smiled at Horatio and told him to come in. He kissed her on her cheek and handed her the flower's. She smiled and said thank you.
"Horatio come with me I am just finishing up." Calleigh said.
As they both walked back to her kitchen, Horatio heard whispering they entered the grate room and a loud noise erupted in his ear. It was the whole entire team and some of his close Friends like Detective Frank Tripp.
Horatio stood back in surprise when everyone started to sing Happy Birthday to him. He was taken back as he completely forgotten that it was his birthday.
Everyone walked over to congratulate him and he smiled and said thank you. Calleigh walked up to him hugged him and whispered in his ear, "Are you mad at me?" Horatio lean in and kissed her and said.
"No! I am not mad, just surprised at all of this. I am usually the one who knows every move you all make I guess I am loosing my touch."
"No you not, H. you don't know how hard it was to keep this from you." Eric said.
"Happy Birthday Dad!" Kyle said as he walked up to his father.
"Thank you son, how are you doing?" Horatio asked smiling at him.
"I am fine, you know graduation is in a month and I was wondering if you gave any thought to that trip we were talking about taking."
"I know son, and yes I have been thinking about the trip to Europe. I am still thinking about it so when I know you will know." Horatio said smiling.
"OK! I can wait." Kyle said as he walked over to Ryan standing near the fire place.
"Horatio Happy Birthday to you!!" Frank said as he shook his hand.
Yelena and Ray Jr. walked over to say hello and wish him a Happy Birthday also.
"Yelena how have you been?" Horatio asked smiling up at her.
"I am fine! the question is how are you? We have not seen you for about a month." Yelena said as she waited for him to answer.
"I am taking it one day at a time Yelena. Hi Ray Jr. how are you doing? You are growing up so fast." Horatio said looking at Ray Jr.
"Happy Birthday uncle Horatio! I am OK just waiting to graduate like Kyle." Ray Jr. said.
"I know its hard to believe you will be starting College next year." Horatio said.
"I know and leaving Miami is going to be hard but it's for a little bit." Ray Jr. said
"You mean leaving your mother is going to be hard!" Horatio said.
"Yes but I know you will take care of her while I am gone." Ray Jr. said smiling at his mother as he walked over to where Kyle and Ryan was.
Calleigh wanted to bring everyone into the grate room to let everyone know that it was time for them to say what they wanted to Horatio.

I Miss You (Horatio Heart Break) Part 3
Horatio stood there waiting for everyone to say what ever they wanted to say. Calleigh had left the room, Eric went with her. They had a surprise for Horatio. It would change his life forever and everyone was not aware of what was about to happen.
Frank was first up with his Birthday gift and some kind words for Horatio. "Horatio I just want to say Happy Birthday and hope that you have many more!" Frank walked over and handed Horatio an envelope. Horatio smiled and nodded his head in thanks. The next person to speak was Ryan. "Happy Birthday H. From Me to You!" Ryan said. The Happy Birthday continued and Horatio was a little over whelmed. Kyle stood next to his father and he wanted to also have the chance to wish his father a happy birthday. So he walked up to him hugged him and said.
" Dad thank you for being the father I have always wanted and needed. This is special to me, I finally get to celebrate your birthday with you. I love you Dad, Happy Birthday." Kyle said hugging Horatio. Horatio had tears forming in his eyes.
"Look everyone I thank you for all your kind words, and appreciate you celebrating my birthday with me." Horatio said as everyone continue to eat, drink and talk among each other. Just then Calleigh re-appeared and she was a little nervous as she stood there asking for everyone attention. She really did not know how this was going to play out. It would be good news and then it could be bad news It's all in How Horatio would react to what Calleigh and Eric was about to do.
Miss You (Horatio Heart Break) Part 4
Horatio looked up at Calleigh wondering what in-barrassing moment she had plan. He smiled and winked at her as she begin to tell everyone about a love story that happen almost a year ago. She stood there strong and compose as she realize that Horatio would actually kill her and Eric if this failed. No one knew that all this time there was a secret that was kept for 9 months.
"Horatio I want to say you are among family and close friends. I love you, the team loves you and you have survived so much this year. Life does not always go the way we want it to go and some times as you have told us over and over again. "We can only hope for the best and our best is all we have." Horatio I am asking you to hope for the best, I am asking that your life and the life of the ones you love will always have a special place in your heart no matter what has happen." Calleigh started to cry and everyone was puzzled by her speech.
Horatio was confused because he realize that Calleigh was trying to tell him something. Horatio was standing directly in the middle of the room with Natalia and Ryan. Calleigh asked everyone to have a seat all but Horatio and Ryan and Natalia.
Just then Eric parents walked out from the hall way, Horatio smiled as they both stood next to Calleigh. Horatio stomach had butterflies and he was nervous. Eric father walked over to Horatio and said for the first time. "My son!" Horatio was taken back by it. He always thought they blamed him for Marisol death and that forgiveness was not in her parents heart.
Just then Eric was walking towards Calleigh and behind him as he approached Calleigh in the room was Marisol.
"Ahhhhh"(Everyone.)
"Ooh - hhh."(Everyone.)
The room exploded with ahhhhh and Ohhhh and Noonoooo!
Horatio was stunned and His face told the story of shock and disbelief. Marisol walked over to Horatio she placed her hands on his face and looked into his blue eyes. Horatio eyes told at that moment how broken and hurt all these months has affected him. Everyone applauded as she kissed her husband and whispered in his ear. "I love you!"
Horatio pulled away, looked at Marisol and with still disbelief in a soft and emotional voice said . "How! How is this possible." Eric walked over to Horatio at that moment and with tears in his eyes said. "H. if it makes you feel better my parents did not tell me until a month ago. I had the same look that you had on your face right now."
Horatio turned to Eric and then to Mr. Delkotrosky and said, "Why did you do this? How did you do this?"
Mr. Delkotrosky said with emotion in his heart, "I had to Horatio, Marisol was my first born, I had to protect her so I had the doctor lie and help me make it look like she had died. After the funeral we went back to the hospital and we flew her back to California and this is where she has been since then. It was hard to do this and not tell you, but we were not sure about her safety in Miami."
Eric Mom started crying and she walked over to Horatio and kissed him on the cheek and ask that he would forgive them for keeping this away from him. Horatio did not know how he felt. He has been grieving and in pain since Marisol was shot and now she walks back into his life from the dead. It was alot to take in. He walked out side to the Patio. Kyle started after him, Ryan grabbed Kyle and told him to wait and let this sink in first. Marisol followed him out to the patio. Everyone else stood there in ahhhh of what had just happened. Eric walked over to Calliegh held her hand as he felt nervous and un-certain to Horatio Reaction.
Part 5 I Miss You Horatio Heart Break
Horatio stood out on the patio his hands running through his hair. Marisol walked up behind him and she put her hands on his shoulder. He pulled away as he still tryed to process the fact that the woman he loved has come back to life. Marisol walked around to face him.
"Horatio look at me! (Marisol said afraid.) I know this is alot to take in, I know that you are in shock. I want to know does this feel any less then if I was to have showed up at the house?"
Horatio looked up at her, remebering the last time he saw her and how it felt to loose her he made no excuses or apologies for his reactions to all this.
"I don't know what to say! Part of me say Wow my wife the love of my life is alive, The other part of me say how could she have stayed away from me." Horatio was lost.
Marisol started to cry, she struggled to find the words of what she should say to tell him it was ok for him to feel this way. She took his hand and placed it on her heart.
"You feel that Horatio, that is my heart beating I can not change what my father thought was best for me. people do things out of the ordinary when they are afraid. He still See's me as his little girl. He had a chance to protect me. I don't dis own him for that, I try to understand it. This is what I am asking you to do now. Unless you don't love me any more." Marisol hung her head down as Horatio kept looking down at the ground.
Horatio looked up at her holding his hand on her chest..
"I have loved you since the first time I saw you! You were everything to me, your love was un-conditional you did not run from me because of my life and or my life style. You grab it and did not look back. Marisol I am shocked to see you standing here, I grieved for your touch, your smile, your voice and now you are asking me to accept this now." Horatio said as he wipe the tear from her face.
"I know you can't accept this it is a un-believable what we both have gone through, I am just asking you as my husband to try ot understand how fear can do things to make you react thinking it's for the best of everyone."
Horatio paused and kept silence. His heart was beating fast and he tryed to control the tears. His pride was not allowing him to feel relieved and happy. Then all of a sudden he pulled Marisol to him and looked at her and kissed her passionately. She loss controlled and fell into his arms and kissed him back. Eric was standing in the patio doors. Calleigh asked him from across the room if everything was alright.
Eric turned smiled and said from where I am standing yes.
| I Miss You (Horatio Heart Break) Part 6 Horatio kissed his wife with such passion, he realize that she was the love of his life, He missed her and now that he had her back in his arms he would do everything within his power not to loose her again. Marisol looked at her husband for the first time in 9 months. She learned alot about him just in this moment. He was a very prideful man. A quality that was strong and vibrant in him. She wanted so much to just stay in his arms for the remainder of the evening, but she knew she had alot of things to say. Eric walked out to his sister and smiled at her, To see life in her was amazing to him. Horatio held her as he watched Eric walk over to them. Horatio was still feeling like all of this was a dream. "H! we have her back!!! I Have my sister back" Eric said over and over again Eric was happy for the first time in months. Kyle walked out to his dad. Marisol never met Kyle. "Dad, are you alright?" Kyle asked looking at Horatio and Marisol. "I am fine son, just still feeling like this is all a dream." Horatio took Marisol by the hand, he looked at her then at Kyle. "Sweet heart, this is Kyle my son!" Horatio said feeling like his life was finally truning around. "Kyle, Eric has told me alot about you." Marisol said looking at Kyle blue eyes. "Really, I hope he did not make me sound like a juvnile delequent." Kyle said smiling and Marisol. "No! I guess you can say that Eric spoke of you with such concern." Marisol said as she looked up at Horato. "I am glad that you are ok! My father has missed you so." Kyle said as he truned to his father and winked. Horatio did not realize how much it showed to other's. If Kyle realized it then everyone porberly did to. "I am fine, and thank you for that kyle. I hope to get to know you!" Marisol said as she kissed Horatio on the cheek. "I would like that mam!" Kyle said as he walked back into the room with everyone else. "Horatio he is very handsome, He looks like you and carry him self like you. I am sure he will do well in school." Marisol said to Horatio. Eric Parents walked out to speak to Horatio. Eric took his sister by the arm and walked back into the party as Horatio spoke in private with Marisol parents. Horaito did not know what he would say to Mr. Delkotrosky he was still angery at him for taking his wife away and trusting him to protect her. He stood there as Mrs. Delkotrosky walked up first and took Horatio hand. | |

| Miss You (Horatio Heart Break) Part 7 Helen kissed Horatio and with her beautiful smile said. "Try to understand dear!" She walked back into the room with everyone else, only after she kissed her husband. Horato stood there waiting for Mr. Delkostrosky to explain to him how he could keep such a secret and his wife from him. With a humble tone, Eric father walked over to Horaito with his hands in his pockets. He pulled out a locket that his father gave him back in his home land just before he sent them to United States. He looked at Horatio and with one solomon smile said. "Horatio I know that there are a hundred question's running through your mind. I will answer them with truth and try to help you understand why I did this. First let's have a seat." Both of them sat down on the Lanai. With his hands crossed Eric father placed in Horatio hand the locket. He started out by saying that His father wanted saftey for them. The country in which they lived was no longer safe. His father had a decision to make and that decison ment sacraficing his love for them and sending them away. "Horatio we were being hunted down by the millatray in our region of the country. My father had money and prestige he knew alot about the corruption that was growing at a rapid rate. My father threaten to call the Embassy in the America and leak out secrets that would cause sanctions to be placed in his country. My father knew he would be killed so he had to make a decison to protect us and send us away with the one thing that would keep us alive. Documents of this alleged corruption. My mother was heartbroken and she wanted to stay with him. See Horatio you live a life that is simular to my fathers you stand for justice and you would do anything to make the citizens of this state safe. Unfortunatly you make enemies along the way and that puts the lives of your love ones in danger. I recognize that you are strong and you have heart big as an ocean. Marisol has told me that this is why she had fallen in-love with you. When you called to tell us about Marisol My heart sanked inside my stomach. We never thought that we would have to worry about Marisol like we worry about Eric. When Eric was shot and he struggled with not remembering the death of his sister. My heart was broken. They are close and to keep such a secret away from him mad it even harder. I have follwed your career since Eric came to Miami and started on the force. Police work was not my first choice for Eric but he watched his grandfather and me fight for what is right in life and I guess it was in him to make a difference. I lied to you and I kept the truth hidden I am sorry. I am sorry that I did not trust you enough to keep her safe and alive. I know that now because I have watched you change in these nine months. Believe me I did what I had to do because I am a father, a father who could not let his daughter go. It was fear in which I relieved from my youth and it was fear that made me take Marisol away. Forgive me Horatio, I am sorry, if this has caused pain and or un-certanity." Mr. Delkostrosky looked at Horatio with a remorsful look and he stood up, asked Horatio to stand and he hugged him and said. "My son welcome to my family, you are a good man." Horatio hugged him and said, "I understand thank you for giving her back to me." | ||
