The sun was going down. Kamerin and Horatio were standing outside of an abandoned warehouse. “Are you sure this is where she is?” “I'm positive.” She said looking around. “Alright." When Kamerin walked in she smelt a horrible order. "Do you smell that?" "Yeah, it smells like decomp." "Great." Kamerin said sarcastically. Horatio put his arm out and stopped Kamerin. “What?” “Something’s not right.” He said taking a step forward. Something fell and hit Horatio in the head rendering him unconscious. “Horatio!” She said running over to him. She looked around and didn’t see anything. She looked up and saw something fall and hit her.

“Ryan have you seen Kam or H, I can’t find them and I’m worried.” “No I haven’t. Did you try calling them?” “Wow if only I'd thought of that sooner. Yes! I called them, four times each.” “Do you want to go to Kamerin’s lab and see what she was working on?” Ryan said setting the file he had down. "Sure." Eric said trying to calm his nerves. They walked over to her lab and looked through the files.

Kamerin woke up and looked around, she noticed that she was tied to Horatio. They were sitting back to back. A man walked up to them. “I need your help.” “Sorry, I don’t associate with criminals.” Kamerin said turning her head to face the man. “Well, maybe you can reconsider.” He whistled and two men walked over with guns pointed to a girl. Kamerin looked closer and saw that the girl was her cousin. The man threw her cousin at her. “Just do what we ask and you’ll be fine.” “Bite me!” Kamerin said spitting on his shoes. One of the guys took the back of the gun and slapped Kamerin across the face with it. “Let her alone!” Horatio said looking him in the face. “Oh so the old man’s got some courage.” The one guy said laughing. He slapped Horatio across the face. "Let him go!!" She waited for them to leave before she said anything else. When they left she turned her head to face her father. “Horatio are you ok?” “Yeah Kam, I’m fine.” Kamerin had to think fast or they were surely done for.

Ryan and Eric had just finished going through all her files and putting them back. “She probably handed her evidence off to someone.” “Alright, I’ll check with Natalia and Valera and you check with Calleigh and Alexx.” “Alright.” Eric said leaving. Ryan ran to DNA. “Hey Natalia, did Kam drop anything off here?” “No, why do you ask?” “Because she and Horatio are missing and we need to find them, if anything shows up,” “I'll get you right away.” “Or Eric. Thanks.” He said running out and down to Horatio’s hummer. Eric ran in Calleigh’s lab. “Hey did Kam drop anything off?” “No, why what’s wrong?” “Kam and H are missing and we need to find them.” “Alright well if anything shows up I’ll call you.” “Thanks!” Eric said running out. He ran to Alexx.

Kamerin sat and hung her head down in shame. “I’ve should’ve known, I’m sorry I got you into this.” “Kam, there is nothing to apologize for. There was no possible way you could've known this was going to happen. Kam, I'm your father, I'd rather be here with you know then be at the lab worrying about you.” "Yeah but now we're going to die because of me!" “Kam, listen to me, ok, listen to me we are not going to die. We’re going to make it out of here, ok? Eric's probably on the case now.” “I hope so.”

“Alexx, did Kam give you anything?” “Uh, yeah she left her file down here. She was waiting for the autopsy report, here.” She said handing it to Eric. “Thanks.” He said opening it and looking through it. "Eric, honey what's wrong?" "If anything happens to Kamerin or Horatio, I'll never forgive myself." Alexx walked over and gave him a hug. "Honey nothing is going to happen to them. They are strong and smart. They can get themselves out of any situation." Eric closed the file and headed for the door. "Hey Alexx?" "What is it baby?" "Thank you." "Anytime, sugar."

Horatio was trying to think of a way to get his daughter and niece out safely. "Kam," "Yeah?" "No matter what happens, you need to get Arianna and get out." "I'm not leaving you." "Kamerin you might not have a choice." "Horatio, it's not even an option." "Kamerin," "Horatio please, I lost my mother, don't make me lose my father too." She said trying to hold her tears back. She tried not to cry but the horrible memory filled her head once again. She was there when her mom got shot. Eric got grazed in the arm with a bullet, Kamerin got one in the ankle and Marisol got a bullet to the abdomen and her death certificate. Kamerin remembered that terrible call she had gotten from her father. It was so hard for her to do anything for a bit. It all hurt too much. It hurt to think, it hurt to speak, it even hurt to breathe. She just couldn't take losing another parent. "Kamerin?" She didn't answer. She was starting to get mad at him. He tried again. "Kamerin?" "What?" He could hear her voice breaking. "I'm sorry." "No, if you want to leave your son without a father and your daughters orphans then fine. But don't expect me to be able to survive. I barely made it through mom's death. Don't think for a second I'll be able to stand there and get over the fact that my father died for me." She said turning her head. She didn't want to hear anymore and he knew that so he let the silence fill the room.

Eric showed the file to Ryan. “There is absolutely nothing in that file to help us. We’re screwed and Horatio and Kamerin are probably going to die, ugh! I can’t believe this.” He said putting his hand on his forehead. He began to pace. “Eric we can’t think like that.” Ryan said walking over to the reception desk there had to be something somewhere to lead to Horatio and Kamerin.

“So how long do you think we’ll be here?” “Not that long I’m sure.” Kamerin pulled out a nail file. “Watch your hands.” She said stabbing through the rope. She stood up. “Come on we have to get Arianna and get out of here.” She said offering him her hand. They tried to escape but when they ran a guy walked up and tasered Kamerin. She fell to the ground and Horatio ran back. “Kam, Kam get up.” “H, get out of here!” “No I’m not leaving without you and Arianna!” The men came and tied them back up again but this time with thicker rope.

“Great.” Kamerin said sarcastically. “All you have to do is help me and you can leave.” “Screw you!” He punched her in the face. “Why do you keep making it harder for yourself?” Kamerin didn’t give an answer. “Help me!” “Go to hell!” The man kicked her. She cringed. Horatio felt the ropes tighten as she leaned forward. “You son of a bitch!” He said turning to face them.

Eric was waiting for the receptionist to hang up but he was getting restless. He was tapping his fingers on top of the desk. He took his two fingers and hit the receiver. Eric and Ryan stood at the reception desk. “Did Kamerin leave anything behind here?” “No, sorry.” “Are you sure?.” "I'll check." She said "Thank you." Eric said walking away.

One of the guys pulled out a pocket knife and put it to Horatio’s face. “Now are you going to help me?” Horatio showed no fear in his face but Kamerin did. “If it’s me you want let him go! Let him walk out of here, he’s not going to tell anyone.” Kamerin tried to convince them. “Yeah but we can’t take that chance.” “Please just let him go.” “Shut up!” and he cut Horatio. Kamerin tried not to cry. “Horatio,” She said her voice breaking. He could tell she was fighting the tears back. “I’m so sorry! I’m sorry, I’m so sorry!” “Kamerin, there’s nothing to be sorry about sweetheart.” “Yes there is they are going to torture you because of me and I can’t do anything to stop it, I should just help them.” “Kamerin you shouldn’t help them. Ok, we are going to get out of this and you don’t have to help them to do it. I’m sure that Eric is on the case.” “I hope so.”

Calleigh was going through Kamerin’s computer to track down what she was working on. “Damn, nothing.” She got an idea and decided to track down Kamerin’s cell phone number. She got nothing. “Are you kidding me?” She slammed herself down in Kamerin’s chair. “Did you find anything?” Ryan asked walking in. “No, nothing and Horatio and Kamerin are probably going to die there because there is nothing here!” “Ok Calleigh, we can’t think like that. They’re going to be ok.” Eric sat down and thought for a minute. What were they talking about earlier? He remembered talking to Kamerin about coming over this weekend. Then there was something else, what was it?

Kamerin saw how one of the guys left a gun on the table. “Hey H?” she was whispering so the men wouldn’t hear her. “Yeah?” “There’s a gun over on the table, I have an idea if you want to inch your way over there with me I can get it.” “Alright.” They tried to get over to the table without making a sound. When they got over Kamerin and Horatio layed on their sides and Kamerin used her feet to grab the gun. She handed it off to Horatio and they squirmed back over to their original place.

Ryan jogged over to the receptionist. “Is Kamerin’s car here?” “Yeah it’s in the garage.” “Ok thank you!” He said running to the elevator. When he got to the garage he ran over to Kamerin’s car and started to go through it. There had to be something in here that he could use to find Kamerin and H.

One of the guys made their rounds. Kamerin could tell he was scared, that he didn’t want to do this. “Hey you!” she said in a low whisper. They guy pointed to himself. Kamerin nodded. He walked over and knelt down. “What does he have on you?” “It’s nothing you can help with.” “Are you sure?” The guy thought for a minute. “Hey you can still get yourself out of this go turn yourself in to the police and your buddy will get in longer then you will.” The guy took a minute to think it over. “You can take sometime to think it over but the longer you do the longer your sentence will be.” The second man came around and the first man slapped Kamerin across the face. “Now, no back talk, will you help us?” The second man was pleased with how he was raising his trainee. “I’ll answer that question but first I have a couple questions of my own.” The first man nodded. “First, who are you?” “I’m Henry and this is Juanito.” “What do you want us for?” “We need your help something happened.” “What happened?” “I can’t tell you until you agree to help us.” “I can’t agree to help you until you tell me what it is. So it looks like we’re both up the creek with no paddle.”

The guy she now knew as Henry turned his head in confusion. Kamerin let out a giant sigh. “It means we’re both stuck here until one of us decides to take a step forward and open their mouth.” “Well we could just torture you guys until you help us.” Juanito said with a smile on his face. Kamerin could tell that the smile was shallow and had no meaning whatsoever but Henry could not. He thought that Juanito was on his side but he would soon find out whose side he was truly on.

Ryan was checking out the back seat and found absolutely nothing. He had checked the front seat earlier and found nothing. So now it was time to check the trunk. He opened the trunk and found a whole bunch of papers and things. He started to look through them. Eric ran down to the receptionist. “Did Kamerin ask you if Arianna called at all?” “Yeah, she left one message earlier about going shopping with Kamerin but that’s it.” “Ok thank you!” He said running back to the DNA lab.

Horatio’s face started to dry up a little around the edges of the cuts. Kamerin thought about the gun she hid behind the boxes they were by. Juanito came around again. “Juanito, I will ask you guys again, where’s my cousin?” “I can’t tell you that.” “Juanito you can make this right, go tell the police.” Juanito thought it over and left. Henry came back. “Where’s Juanito?” “How the hell should I know? He’s your guy.” “Yeah but you did something to him. What did you say?” “Nothing.” They guy snapped his fingers and the one guy came over with Arianna and threw her down on the ground. “Hector, go untie her.” Hector came over and untied Kamerin and grabbed her by her hair. He threw her down to the ground too. Henry slapped her across the face again with his gun. Henry had Hector hold her down while Henry pulled out his knife and started to slash Kamerin’s arms up. “We need your help.” “Bite me bitch!” Henry slammed the knife into Kamerin’s calf. She held in her scream.

“Let her go!” Horatio said struggling to get out of the ropes. He couldn’t stand the site of Kamerin struggling. Arianna got up and jumped on Hector’s back. Henry tried to shoot her off. Kamerin got up and fought with Henry. She tackled him down and kicked the gun away. She punched him in the throat and watched as he gasped for air. She started to punch him repeatedly in the face. He threw Kamerin off and Hector slammed himself against the wall and watched as Arianna fell. “No!” Kamerin ran over to where Arianna lay. “Ari, Ari are you ok?” She looked at her cousin with tearful eyes.

She walked over to Horatio and grabbed the gun. She cocked it and pointed it at Hector. Henry drew his gun. “This isn’t going to work,” He said aiming it right at Kamerin’s head. “I can fire a round in you before you could even whip that gun in my direction.” Kamerin shot at Henry’s hand ran for the gun. She got it and walked over and set it by Horatio. Kamerin stood in the middle of the triangle that Horatio, Hector, and Henry formed. Henry and Hector walked over to her laughing. Kamerin clenched her fist. She kicked Hector in the gut really hard and watched as he curled and fell to the floor. She then turned to Henry and punched him in the mouth. “You find it funny to watch little girls lying there?” She said nailing him again in the nose. She watched as blood came gushing out. He tried to throw a punch and she ducked it and grabbed his wrist and swung him around. “You find it hilarious to torture people?!?!” She said through clenched teeth. She kicked Henry and watched him fall on the floor. She jumped up as high as she could and slammed down into him. “You son of a bitch!!” She said getting up.

She punched Henry in the eyes, hoping that they would swell shut. She stepped back and watched as Henry struggled to get up. Hector was slowly making his was up to Kamerin. He grabbed her ankle and tried to pull her down but she took her other foot and stomped on his hand. "Oh I don't think so!" She slammed her foot down on his hand again. She knew she broke it because she could hear the bones cracking inside as she stomped on it. Hector screamed. Kamerin ran over untied Horatio and grabbed Arianna and ran. They ran to the hummer where they were ambushed. “Are you freaking kidding me?” Kamerin said stomping her feet. Kamerin woke Arianna up. “Ari, listen to me run!!” Arianna ran as fast as she could, dodging the guys that were trying to catch her. Kamerin was fighting them off but then one grabbed her from behind. They tasered her and punched Horatio and then took them back inside. Arianna was running as fast as she could through the woods occasionally looking back to make sure that no one was following her. She had to find someone. She was running when she saw Julia's house. She was afraid to go in. She really didn't know Julia. She stopped and thought about Horatio and Kamerin and ran in.

Eric tried to call Arianna’s cell phone and didn’t get anything. “Damn.” He didn’t know what to do there had to be something. He couldn’t just let his two nieces and his brother-in-law die. Kamerin was being tortured. So far they had tasered her, beaten her, cut her, and now burned her. Hector held a lighter to her leg and watched as Kamerin held back her screams. Horatio felt like someone was tearing his heart out at the sight of this. He had to do something. Kamerin kicked the lighter and grabbed the pocket knife and threw it at Henry. It skimmed his face and landed right by his left ear. Henry came over and punched Kamerin in the stomach. Kamerin flinched again. “Let her go!!” Horatio said struggling to get free. Kamerin wrapped her arms around herself and fell to her knees. She lifted her head and saw Hector and he kicked her in the face. Kamerin struggled to get back up. She turned and saw Henry running after her and she moved. Hector tried to put the lighter to her face and she snapped his arm. This was her time to escape and she could only hope that this time it would be successful.

She was running and one of the guys got her. She could not believe this!! She thought quickly. She reached in her pocket. She turned on her cell phone and sent a text message and hid it in her pocket quickly. She knew that that was her last hope. She bowed her head in shame. The one guy slammed her down to the ground and they started to torture her. She struggled to get up. She lifted her head and saw Horatio with tears in his eyes. Kamerin didn't care about being kidnapped or how they tortured her. She didn't care that she might not make it out alive. The only thing she cared about was getting Horatio out safely. She could only wish that he didn't have to see her being tortured.

Henry got up and started to kick Kamerin. "Stop." "What?" He said laughing. "Stop." He started to laugh harder. "Or what?" He said kicking her again. "I SAID STOP!!!!!" She said grabbing his ankle. She threw it up and watched as Henry flipped. She did a backflip to get up and then walked over to Henry. "Or that." She said looking him in the face. She ran and untied Horatio for the last time. Henry whistled and a bunch of men came in. Horatio and Kamerin stood back to back preparing for the fight of their lives.

Arianna ran into the lab with Julia. "Help someone!!" Ryan ran out. "Arianna what's wrong?" "They have Horatio and Kamerin." "Who?" "Some Hector, Henry and Juanito." Arianna opened her cell phone. She had a message. "Ryan go track Kamerin's cell phone number." "We tried that earlier it didn't help." "Well I'm telling you to do it now." "Ok." Ryan said running over to the computers. Arianna and Julia followed.

Kamerin was throwing punches left and right, along with Horatio. Kamerin heard a noise. She could've sworn it was a police siren. She focused. Henry threw a punch. "Horatio duck!!" She said ducking. She knelt down and focused quickly. The noise grew louder.It was!! It was a police siren, actually it was about five of them. Kamerin threw her leg out and tripped the men. She quick and grabbed the rope they tied them up with and tied them. She turned and walked over to Horatio. "Are you ok?" "Yeah, are you?" She nodded. Horatio pulled her into a hug. She stood there and she started to cry. She watched as a couple police officers and Ryan, Eric, and Calleigh ran in with their guns drawn and ready. Kamerin wiped her tears. Calleigh turned around and saw Horatio and Kamerin. "Aww, now isn't that sweet?" Calleigh said giving a big smile. Eric and Ryan turned and saw Horatio and Kamerin. "Shut up." Kamerin said smiling.

She ran over to Ryan and gave him a hug. He gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so glad you're ok." "Me too." She said smiling at him. "Me too." Then they walked out. Side by side. Arm in arm. Together again as a family and a team.
