Khandi Alexander/Alexx Woods leaves CSI MIAMI !!!

Bad news for the show !TV Guide annonced thaht Khandi Alexander alias Alexx Woods leaves CSI MIAMI at the end of the season. After Gary Dourdan ( CSI ) who announced that he will leave the show and Diane Neal ( Law and Order Special Victims Unit ) who is fired of SVU it's the time of Khandi Alexander to say goodbye to CSI MIAMI. She says that she is not in agreement with some elements of the show. CBS didn't confirm the news but the producers are looking for HIS replacent. THIS SUCKS! first Garry Dourdan is leaving CSI and now Khandi leaving CSI Miami.It's not going to be the same with who they have replace them.

Well, it looks like CBS won't confirm her departure, so maybe they are still talking and nothing is official yet. I agree, she is the best ME on all three shows. I love when she talks to the dead as if they were alive. She brings calm to the tragedy.

She was so sweet to everybody on the show, and was like a mother figure to all the CSIs. She called everyone baby and that's nice. She was funny also, and I can't believe she is leaving. This time 'round, the show in question is CSI: Miami and the departing thesp is Khandi Alexander. Although CBS declined to comment, a Miami insider confirms that Alexander — who has played medical examiner Alexx Woods since day one — is leaving at the end of the season. What's the story behind this exit? I'm not 100 percent certain, but, from what I gather, it wasn't one of those mutual deals we've been hearing about so much lately. Let's just say Alexander had some, um, issues with a certain aspect of the show and leave it at that, K? Hey, Tory, long time no hear. Glad to see you back. If she is going, who can blame her? She was practically invisible for the past 3 seasons. They didn't develop her character at all, or give her any stake in the outcome of the cases; which I think was a sore waste of talent. Obviously, she thinks it's time to move on and we should support that decision.

No, I don't think she's angling for more money, Bisous. I think, like every talented person, she wants a larger role in her show. She's been almost invisible for the past two seasons, so I'm not at all surprised she's departing for greener pastures. She's an excellent choreographer (she did work with Paula Abdul and others) and also a great chef.It's likely she's developed outside interests to keep growing as a person, and these have taken her from us. My one hope is that they'll find another female ME to replace her, as the television is far too replete with men. 6 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

I have to agree with you Petra, she has been ignored. Although I hate to see her go...I hope she has something better to go to! She is very talented in many areas. And yes the last 2 seasons has seen her all but invisibile! Good Luck Khandi in whatever you decide to do!!!They say they are looking for a male in the article but I sure hope, as you do, they seach for a female. it is starting to turn into the all boys club!
