I would like to see Horatio in a lasting relationship. And I was so, so sad for Eric. He loved his sister very much. BTW, I only started watching CSIM a couple of years ago and have pretty much caught up on things thanks to reruns, but would like to know how many romantic relationships H has had and with whom. As far as I can remember...H has had 5 romantic relationships in his history. He's always had a thing for his former sister-in-law, Yelina; he dated a lawyer for a bit until she was killed- and he was almost framed for her murder; he dated Rebecca Nevins during Season 3, he was with Mari in Season 4, and he was with Julia at an earlier time in his career (but I think that still counts). I think the lawyer that was killed was somewhere in Season 5, but I could be wrong. And you should totally start hinting now! He hasn't had that many, that much I can tell. Because this story about his wife still burdens him, I can tell. He has a good taste though, when he goes out with a woman.
