The waiting has been TORTURE; no doubt about it but i do believe this "break up" was due to emily's pregnancy.....nonetheless, i think it was overkill to actually break them up but we dont have the control..........Adam said "even if they did break up, they will get back together.".......so i am hanging on to that for dear life along with the sound bites like "much is in store"...."it will be reviseted; their just taking a break from the intensity".............i could be totally wrong but time will tell.......so if EC is not back together by the end of season 9 it will be my last season......however, im hoping it wont be:-) 4  out of 4 found this valuable. I think we're all feeling pretty frustrated with things as they are & I agree that Emily's pregnancy is the reason behind the backing off from the romance BUT it could've been done better. I'm hanging on to any bit of hopeful news that they will reunite & after the kiss winning the bracket challenge & all I don't see how the writers can ignore the fans cravings for much longer!

As do I! I'm pretty sure there are more E/C fans than non E/C fans so they better get them back together.

If this is the real deal then I'm happy dancing....I really hope it' s true....Do you think that the Bracket Challenge winner made them re-think?.....can't wait for some quality HH scenes....we've been so deprived!

That would be great if the winner made them re-think! It would mean they actually listen and care about what we want.
We really need some good scenes. They barely have any scenes together anymore.

Honestly, as grim as it was looking, I still believe that the plan has been to get them back together after Emily had her baby. We were anticipating a "turn a-round" in the second half of the season but to actually hear it is a treat. However, while I do believe Emily's pregnancy had a lot to do with this "break" I believe we would have been put through this "journey" even if Emily had not gotten pregnant. "Look to Season 9 to clearly define their relationship.......however, we are going to take them on a journey first....the thing is that because they give contradictory statements that can have multiple meanings or imply different things, we are never quite sure what to believe....while I don’t think the bracket challenge played a part in this latest scoop I do believe the bracket challenge simply reinforced what they already knew: That EC is vital to the show; PERIOD. Also, Adams comment was made before the bracket challenge ended; that interview was actually taken on the set when they were filming the 200th episode.
Lastly, they know the ratings have been shaky due to Sunday night football. The next three episodes will air at 8:00 and I think they realize YOU BETTER GIVE US (HUGGERS) A REASON TO WATCH. Personally, I haven't watched since 9.2 and since this good news has dropped I've been reading comments on different sites and apparently I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. A lot of HUGGERS have not been watching! So with this good news I have a feeling the ratings will pick up for 2 reasons:
It will be airing at 8:00 so even with a delay it shouldn’t be at midnight; lol
Confirmation that EC will be back together
So for now I am elated and can't wait BUT please give us some EC SUBSTANCE!!!! Yes, displays of affection would be great BUT I need to hear "I LOVE YOU ERIC" AND "CALLEIGH WILL YOU MARRY ME." Then by all means COMMENCE TO PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION.

Also in regards to the source PAULLY (he's on the CBS thread where I am most of the time) has received scoops from him before per his post to me below. Someone over at talkcsi had asked the same question in which I asked PAULLY and below was his repsonse. If PAULLY can co-sign then that is good enough for me......In any event the question is a LEGIT one.....we dont need to recall all the times we have been on an EC buzz only to come crashing down BUT NOT THIS TIME.....so continue to ride the EC happy wave! Talk to you all later!

"Hi Lisa i forgot the name of the owner of the Adam yahoo group but every scoop that comes from this site so far have been very accurate and true so i am not worried that it is false"

"Hello hiphuggerland! GOOD NEWS TO YOU ALL!!!! Mayra tweeted that she got confirmation from a reliable source that EMILY HAD A BABY GIRL a few weeks ago!!!!!! I am so happy for her & thanks a lot to Mayra for trying her best to get this info for all of us Emily Procter fans"

Mayra doesn't pop up on the CBS forum as much as she use to but she will still funnel us info now and then; she has garnered reliable EC sources over time. I was sure she had the baby but was pleasantly surprised to see its been a few weeks. Thank goodness Emily and baby are fine!

I feel like we're honorary aunts! I'm so happy for them.
Is it another occasion for some mimosas?

What? Do we need an occasion??
Only joking! but we can't let CG have more than a taster!
I feel like we're all a super-extended family & we have had lots of emotional investment in this baby since we found out about the pregnancy so I think we do qualify for honorary aunt status!...especially now that the baby has such sexy honorary uncles!!

I don't think we ever really need an occasion for alcoholic beverages of any kind- but we only give the younguns (LOL!) a taste!
And I like the idea of honoary aunt status- being an aunt is FUN! And ESPECIALLY because there are such SMOKING HOT uncles in attendance!

It's been awhile but you know we're in an EC Recession: LOL! Anywho, I'm hoping that will be changing soon. I have some tidbits that was shared over on the CBS Thread. Thanks to HipHugger Xoxo Karolina who posted on the CBS Thread:

"The CSI: Miami family has a new member! Emily Procter , who plays crime scene investigator Calleigh Duquesne, welcomed daughter Pippa in early December. It's the first child for Procter and her boyfriend, musician Paul Bryan. A slightly tired, but excited, Procter returned to work on January 19, just in time for co-star Adam Rodriguez 's directing debut. "I wouldn't have missed it," Procter told TV Guide Magazine on set. "In a way it fits that my first day back is Adam's first time directing because I felt like he genuinely wanted me to have a healthy baby. He wanted me to be happy, and I wish the same for him. I think that's what you get after nine years together. It's that genuine want for each other to be happy." Rodriguez could not be more thrilled to welcome a new member to the gang. "We're so happy for Emily," he told TV Guide Magazine . "This is something I know she's wanted for a long time. She's got the right guy in her life and it was the right time for her, and it's so great when you get to see somebody be able to have it all. She's just really got it all together." Procter, whose pregnancy has not been incorporated into the show, will only be written out for one week. She returns to the lab in the episode slated for March 13 entitled "Hunting Ground."

"BTW, I am glad that Nina Tassler CBS President for Entertainment gave a statement about the future of CSI Miami and NY: "Both are doing incredibly well in new time periods, given what was there before. As long as those shows continue to be competitive and as long as fans continue to watch those shows, they'll continue to stay on the air. Both shows have opened up more to reveal the more personal elements of characters' lives."

Also, in case you all didn't know, the next NEW episode airs on February 20th but that's child play seeing as though we've already waited a era:-LOL! LATER!
